Dwarf Massacre

The fall break of 2014 was spectacular. Their were sunny skies, a nice breeze, and to top it off we were in the most magical place on Earth. All week my family as well as my friend Sam’s family were busy traveling from park to park and going from ride to ride. This year was especially special because we were both finally tall enough to ride every ride they could offer, allowing us to fulfill our wildest dreams on daring rides.

It is 7:00 A:M and my Dad’s alarm is screaming at us to get ready for another glorious day. We put on our Disney themed clothes and head to the bus stop. We get swooped up by Disney’s Magical Express and head to Chef Mickey’s restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast Disney’s Magical Express swoops us up again to take us to Magic Kingdom.

Throughout the day we had fun riding rides and going to shows, but it was finally time to ride the new roller coaster, The Seven Dwarfs mine train. It was not only bendy and twisty, but also had a rotating kart. As we were waiting in line we could see the horrific, but also estatic faces of the civilians to face this evil monster.

“SCREEEEECH,” the brakes went as the kart came to a speeding hault. It was now our turn to ride this daring ride and our families could not wait. As we boarded our karts all we could hear and feel were straps and buckles tightening across our chest and waist hardly allowing us to breath. Knowing there was no turning back it was time. “WHOOOOOSH,” the kart took of flying us securely into our hard wooden seats. The twists and turn slamming our heads left and right like a drum set was horrific.”Boom, clap, boom clap,” we were in serious pain, but in a matter of seconds a loud screech was let out and it was over. “Thank god,” Sam says with a flustered look on his face. As he walks away I see the side of his head and it is bleeding furiously. Carrie his mom is furious, she lives up to her name by yelling at the workers of the ride. They scramble not knowing what to do and give us 25 free fast passes, making it once again a magical experience, at least I thought so.

As we leave what was thought to be the most magical place on Earth we are stuck with the funny memory of Sam’s bleeding head and Carrie’s yelling at the workers. Years later when we have gotten the chance to come back there was padding on the seats.
